How to Make Recycled Newspaper Bags Step by Step

How to Make Recycled Newspaper Bags ♻️📰

In today’s consumer society, the amount of household waste we produce every day far exceeds the planet’s ability to recycle it — especially plastic materials derived from petroleum.

It’s common for supermarkets and shops to wrap products in plastic bags, which are difficult to recycle and harmful to the environment.
That’s why we’re showing you a simple, eco-friendly, and creative way to make your own bags using recycled newspaper.

🧰 Materials You’ll Need

  • Newspaper sheets
  • Thick paper or cardboard (poster board)
  • Scissors and a craft knife
  • White glue (paper adhesive)
  • A piece of recycled cardboard (from an old box)
  • A cord or string at least 3 mm thick

All of these materials can be found easily in any craft or DIY store.

🪶 Step-by-Step: How to Make Recycled Paper Bags

1️⃣ Cut the pieces.

6️⃣ Add the handles.
Make two small holes at the top. Reinforce them with tape, eyelets, or small washers to prevent tearing. Thread the cord through and tie a knot at each end.
